Guilt of the Past / Fear of the Future…
We all have a past and. some, will have a future in the name of Jesus Christ.
Guilt of the past is what keeps most people active in their addictions, sins, whatever keeps them separated from God. While it is exactly the same for 99% of us, each situation is 100% unique to the individual. The path to redemption is narrow. The path to the Savior, the Truth, the Way and the Life is but one. Those that have a desire to crush the guilt of the past have but one way to do so – stop kicking “against the goads” as it is a losing battle.
When working the Steps of AA after a very short period it became quiet clear the vision of life had become blind to the reality of Life. While one is wearing blinders it is impossible to see what lays beyond. When our fear of the future, fear of success, fear of failure takes the wheel and drives the vehicle it becomes easy to live a life of sin. Allowing fear and guilt to occupy our mind these agents of the enemy get bored and move into the heart and when this happens whatever has been cooked-up becomes manifest in our hands.

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
We must fall to our knees, submit and ask a very, very simple question – “Lord, what do You want me to do?” When the Lord answers we must respond immediately, without question and do precisely what we are told. Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” (Acts 9:6)
Blinded with guilt and fear we must rely upon others to help us take the necessary Steps to get to the shining city on a hill. When the blinders fall from our eyes and we can once again see, what is it that we will see? We should pray that we see the face of Jesus Christ and bathe in the love of His Light. We should pray those that would help us have readiness like Ananinas.
And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”
Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”
Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.
Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.
And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.”
And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” ~Acts 9:5-10 NKJB
Either the Gospel is divine inspiration, the Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
