Heart, Soul and Mind…
What does it mean to have faith? How deep should Christian faith run?
If we simply review, as we have many, many times, the first, and greatest, of the commandments we find the answer to these, and a great many other questions in Matthew 22 of the NKJV.
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
One would think with as many people running around that claim to be Christians this would be seen everywhere we turn. Wonder why this deep seeded love of our Lord and Savior is in such short supply?
What would happen if God called us by name? Maybe not our given name, but the name He calls us? Can we hear it? Well, according to Saul and Andrew, yes, it is an audible voicing of the name the Lord would call us.
Are we nothing more than “consumer Christians”? Do we simply stop by a church on Sundays, pick up a the latest “grab-n-go” sermon then get back to the rest of our lives? What about the leadership within the church? Is there something missing that no longer inspires people to be on mission right where they stand? Is the Living God being overlooked, forgotten or tossed aside in the message? How does the message inspire people, where does the message take people and how does the message, the Word of God, move through the ministry to breathe life into the congregation? To move the congregation from sitting to standing to walking to running towards Jesus Christ is spelled out in the Bible, in the Gospels, and in the stories of the Apostles and Disciples, if the message is focused on bringing the Living, Breathing Word of God to into action in peoples lives. Where do we start?
