To Be As His Child
When we are children we are free-to-be. No other time during our life is it acceptable to run naked through the yard – as in a complete lack of clothing. Over time we convinced this is not life is and at some point we start to believe it and conform to “societal norms”. Please don’t misunderstand, I am nothing suggesting we all disrobe and head out to the office. This is one of those moments when we are allowed to be a child of God in all His glory – no inhibitions, no shame, no guilt, no fear – just love for the life we are given.
A lot of us lose this completely somewhere along the way. This is when we disconnect from God, turn our back on Jesus Christ and forget the Holy Spirit fills that God sized hole. Paul reminds us that it doesn’t have to be that way that if abandoned the enemies in our mind and focus on His love and peace through the blood of the Cross, we will be once again free as the naked child running through the front yard.

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—
23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
