Mike Pompeo: ‘President Trump Does Not Want War’ with Iran by Pam Key for Breitbart
GNN Note – The President does not want more war, but Pompeo and Bolton never met a war they didn’t want to expand or start.
President Trump was elected to get the U.S. out of war. He has done a 180 degree turn, just like all other politicians, from what he said he was going to do. Bombed Syria, continues to bomb Afghanistan, has not brought any troops home, except the remains of troops from North Korea and he is preparing to send another 1,000 troops to the border of Iran – why; is beyond me. This is to say nothing of the situation in Ukraine and Yemen. Everywhere you look what candidate Trump said and what President Trump has delivered are on exact opposite pages.

Tuesday while speaking to reporters after meeting with U.S. Central Command leaders at the command’s headquarters in Tampa, FL, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said President Donald Trump did not want to go to war with Iran.
Pompeo said, “President Trump had sent President Abe to take a message of his to the leadership in Iran. You have to remember, these are messages for the leadership. I think the Iranian people are being misserved by that leadership, but yes, we’re engaged in — we have been engaged in many messages, even this moment right here, communicating to Iran that we are there to deter aggression. President Trump does not want war. And we will continue to communicate that message while doing the things that are necessary to protect American interests in the region.”
